Die casting process that is characterized by forcing molten metal under high pressure into a mold cavity. The mold is created using two hardened tools steel dies which have been machined into shapre and work similarly to an injection mold during the process. Most die castings are made from non-ferrous metals, specifically zinc, aluminium, and copper.
Investment casting/ precision casting/ Lost wax casting process, can be extremely efficient process as less machining is required, which saves labor costs, and less alloy is wasted compared to other casting options as less material is used in the sprues and runners.
