Features of Die casting
1.High dimensional accuracy.Generally can reach CT6 to CT7 even up to CT4
2. Good Surface roughness, can be Ra1.6 μm.
2.Mechanization and automation for high productivity.
3.Very high capital cost.
4.Other disadvantages are that the process is limited to high-fluidity metals, and casting weights must be between 0.03 and 20kgs.
5.Have a small amount of porosity. This prevents any heat treating or welding, because the heat causes the gas in the pores to expand, which causes micro-cracks inside the part and exfoliation of the surface.
6.High volume of quantity is required.
